I live in Bakersfield! It's not the greatest but it's not too bad. If you move here just move to the southwest side of town, or to Rosedale. Those are the best areas but they aren't ridiculously expensive. And hit me up if you do move here! :) we do have some really good schools here and good shopping and restaurants too.

I grew up there and lived there most of my life, the crime is bad but there are good areas. You just have to know where to look. The schools aren't bad either, in my opinion. But it does get extremely hot there and it doesn't have an over abundance of things to do/go. The surrounding cities aren't to bad either

It's not the best place to live , crime is pretty bad, and it gets super hot out there. And there's just not much out there.

but the houses are super cheap and super beautiful

bakersfield has a lot of druggies. they just walk around the streets.

Well I see the house are crazy cheap!! Is the crime out of control?? How are the schools?? Is there good shopping?? Will it be hard to meet new people?? HAHA!! Sorry..I just never been there..
