Ok ladies I need some advice on my son! Lately he's had a super bad attitude, when Its time for him to eat, if he doesnt want to eat , he starts to push the spoon out of his face , or throws his food on the floor. When I'm holding him and if he gets mad he pinches , scratches and tries to hit my face... I know he's still young to fully understand that its wrong , but sometimes you can tell that he knows he's being bad and keeps doing it. What should i do ???
@babeylarissa @babyjaysmommy @eryka616 @alekismyworld thanks ladies, he'll be 1 at the end of October so I'm always wondering if he really would understand a time out yet , but taking away his toys is a good idea , but he'll scream at the top of his lungs till he gets attention 😣
He's in control of his own body and he's exploring what he can get away with. As long as your consistent and tell him no it will change. My son is much better about it now and he understands but still tests me sometimes
My brother was like that. What my mom would do is give him time out or take away his tablet or toys he really liked until he would stop and listen.
i would say when he does that stop trying it seems kinda harsh but maybe taking the food away & of course be around him to watch him but leave him alone for a while. they do know where their being brats their not dumb lol
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
so my mom was telling me I should give my son baby cereal at night because at night is when he wants to eat the most. I haven't done it yet but who thinks its okay I was thinking doing it when he's two months!??
So Charlies started crying when im feeding him solids was getting stressed thinking why wont he eat.. but when i offer him finger foods he will happily eat.. its like he just wants to do it himself! Anyone else had this?
@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer.
My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk out...
So I went to the doctors for my baby today nd they are telling me he's too big!!! He will be 3 months old on the 10th!! He is 14 Lbs 12 oz he was born 7Lbs 10 oz. It wasn't his normal doctor tho...his usual doctor knows that he eats 5-6 oz nd said it was fine but now they are telling me to take him down to 3oz!!!! Idk what to do he freaks out when I stop feeding him at 3....I feel sooooo bad!!!!!
I think babies are too small for time outs. I tried it I did it until he stopped crying and did it briefly for 10 seconds and it doesn't work because they forget and they do it again. Until he's able to sit down and understand a time out I don't see a point. I just keep explaining "no dangerous " "no that hurts" eventually they will understand. They've been in this world for only a year or so and we can't expect them to understand from right and wrong.
Taking away the toy yes it might work but I mean is that really necessary. I really try to talk to my toddler and tell him not to do something and why he shouldn't do it. They will grow out of it because eventually they will understand everything we are saying and will have to listen. I think that's when real discipline comes in.
