You never know what type of formula your baby will end up on. It's really all about what agrees with their sensitive tummy they best. When my daughter was on formula we used Enfamil new born formula which hurt her tummy so we switched to Enfamil gentle ease and it worked very well. As she got older we tried the Walmart version of Enfamil gentle ease (partents choice gentle) and that one was 1. Cheaper and 2. It was slightly thicker which caused her to spit up waaaaaayy less.
But honestly it's all trial and error in that department lol 😂 and the pediatrician will help you along the way as well to figure out what will be best for your baby.
I started off using enfamil infant but it ended up leaving my daughter with gas and it left her constipated. Now I use Gerber Gentle Soothe and it works with her :)
Started off with simulac advance. But that gave baby boy gas and blocked him up. We switched to gerber gentle and he loves that. But it definitely is a trial and error kind of thing. Every baby is different.
@db413, it seems like a lot ppl say they have gas or blocked up.. would it make sense to start off with a gentle kind initially or do they not recommend that?
@scx327, omg 😆 I was so excited when I found out, I still am but now that I’m getting closer and closer to my due date it’s starting to all hit me like babies aren’t easy 😳😳
@jessicalynn3, you can definitely start on that right away. The gentle or the soothe. The gentle can just make sure it's the orange can. Unless your planning on supplementing with breastmilk

I would get the free samples of different formulas. You never know which one will be good for your baby.
