@megankruke, they gave me a spinal (block). It was more scary than anything because it was my first. If you have good dr's and nurses they'll guide you step by step and prepare you before they do the next thing.
They made me sit up and lean over, I had a nurse in front of me holding my hands and talking me through it, and he cleaned my back. He then told me when and what he was doing. The needle felt like a needle. Just a weird place to get it. Once the initial shock of the needle was over (wasn't too long) it just felt weird when he was placing the spinal block inside of me. It was slightly uncomfy but then my legs got really heavy and they had to help me lift them up on the bed. After that it wasn't hard at all. Just have a nurse there talking you through it and distracting you. It doesn't last too long
Well I'm having a scheduled c section (as long as he stays in that long lol) and my doctor said I'm getting a spinal. Was curious if its uncomfortable even without the contractions lol .
Thank you!! I was curious how it worked lol
