How do i go about getting insurance for baby boy before he is born?? Im on my mon insurance and the only way he can get…

I know in TX you can only get wic if your child is in Medicaid so you might have to wait till you are approved for Medicaid first

@theinkedmommy, @kkmamax2, this is a lot lol and im still learning ill call Monday to see if he's accepting new patients. A program i was trying to join was supposed to help me with all of this but they havent called me back or anything they were going to help me with wic and insurance for the baby

I would call and let them know you picked them as the doc and see what's the next step. I know the baby has to see doc after being released from hospital- I think it was the day after for my girls. I don't know if you can apply for Medicaid for the baby while pregnant. I know if you have pregnancy Medicaid, the baby automatically gets Medicaid.

@carleishia.graham, You may have to call and see if they're taking new patients. Because once he is born you'll have to have a follow up visit with the pediatrician.

@carleishia.graham, I believe you can apply for Medicaid for him. You'd have to have a pediatrician picked as well, too.
