All breast feeding mommas..
I need advice on how to help ease the boob pain..
My left nipple, the whole nipple is killing me. I feel like I have 200 needles going into it. 24/7.
My right boob is perfectly fine, just my left.
Anything to help??
@taizaleann, definitely do and keep me updated. Maybe after I have the baby we can get together and we can hang out maybe do some shopping and do some playdates...
@mommabear538 thats amazing! Helping others and it'll get you far with that profession.
I will definitely call the breast feeding women on Monday. Figured I'd ask here and see on the answers.
@taizaleann, I live in Florida too.. Polk county. I always go to my lactation consultant when I'm experiencing something I've never experienced before. She even helped me understand why my breast milk changed when I got pregnant and was still breastfeeding my youngest son. We were stumped at first and then she said well take a pregnancy test lol because that could play into my breast milk changing. I love my consultant! She always has me go to some of the meetings too, to help some mommas and says I should look into it as a profession being a consultant
@mommabear538 I dont have a nursing bra.. I use sports bra. Theyre comfortable to me. Along with 2 of the having the padding an the other 2 don't. I tried a regular bra but I couldn't do it.
@mommabear538 I live in Florida.. Pasco county...
And I didn't think about asking her, just thought it was something wrong with me because my body's changed since I was pregnant and such. And I'll definitely have to invest...
It doesn't help that I gave her breast more in the beginning and slowed to maybe twice a day but I'm back on top of giving her breast an not formula...
@taizaleann, it was my life saver with my older two!!! Omg! It may take her some getting used to... if she doesn't take to it, use nipple cream between feedings it'll help with the soreness.
@mommabear538 I don't have one. I go to WIC and she calls at random times to ask how she is and how its going, I'm gonna call her on Monday but I have my WIC appointment on the 25th..
@mommabear538 I'll have to look into it.... How well does it work? Like, I have pain but even if I have it bare, nursing pads (used 2 different kinds), different sports bras with padding. It still hurts.
@mommabear538 it doesn't hurt when I feed.. That's what's strange. Sometimes I'll have a problem with her latching but she does the same thing on both sides.. My left I constantly hurting and what's a nipple shield?
Your latch on that breast between you and baby may be wrong and that's what's causing your pain, I've breastfed 3 kids and starting a 4th on Wednesday, I would recommend a breast shield and practice your latch with that breast, if when your feeding your baby, while she is latched does it hurt during your feed?
