What's everybody's stand on pacifiers? Just wondering

My daughter loves them. I wasn't going to give her one because I didn't give her brother one but when she was born she has fluid in her lungs and had trouble breathing and I couldn't nurse or hold her for 2-3 days after she was born so a nice nurse when and bought her one to help soothe her while she was in the nursery. So I didn't want to take it from her.

@roxxipup249 good point. But she is your child so you should have that say so.

@twinmomma2b they hate what it does to babies teeth if you let them have it for too long and how some babies are horrible about weening them off of it. But my daughter isn't addicted to them, she doesn't need them as long as you know her cues and react swiftly

I have a love and hate relationship with the pacifier

I love it cause of course it keep the baby calm

But I hate it when it's time for her to be in her own bed (right now we co sleep ) and she's used to having the paci through out the night it's gonna be hell when she can get it on her own and also hell when it's time to give the paci up

But for right now paci it is !! 😂

I stopped mine @1mo..now he's not used of sucking or putting anything n his mouth.

@twinmomma2b I don't mind them. If it helps my baby keep calm I don't see why not. But my fiances dad hates them and threatens to throw ours away so I have to hide them

My son never liked them so I won't even let this next baby try a paci

My sisters baby LOVES them but Salem couldn't care less. I wish they worked for us

I just gave my son one so he'd fall asleep uggggg lol. I didn't wanna use pacifiers cause I didn't want him to rely on anything to fall asleep. But he will scream and scream until I either pick him up or give him a pacifier. And I don't want him to need me to go back to sleep every few hrs at night so pacifier it is

My daughter only uses them For sleep only doesn't want it during the day so I don't mind her having it.

My son wasn't a fan of them for awhile then he started taking them but he only likes a specific kind. Keeps him content, quite and helps him sleep.

I have no problem with them, but my son didn't like them.
