I'm at my wits end with my oldest. Not only did she pee on her bedroom floor and not tell my husband and me about it she locked one of our cats in a cupboard. The only explanation being that the cat was being mean to her. Unfortunately I know that my daughter restrains the cat so she can't get away and pushes her face into their fur. I'm at a loss on what to do anymore.

@star_wars_freak_2010, oh man. You guys already spank her so that does nothing but gives her immunity to it😂
Time out does nothing.
And she's misbehaving at school too!

I'm sure it's because of the baby, and attention she is or feels like she isn't getting

I wouldn't know what to do either though! That's tough

@torrey_, it wouldn't shock me if it was because of the baby. We try to play with her but don't always have the chance to because other things end up coming first. Sometimes it's her own fault she doesn't get to play because she'll refuse to do homework so she'll sit at the table until she decides to do it or she'll land herself an early bedtime for talking back. She has a thing for arguing and just not listening in general.

Unfortunately this is not the first time she's done something violent. She's punched kids at school, kicked them, spat on them, just a number of things. I'm just at a loss at what to do because nothing we do phases her. Whenever we try to turn the scenario around (like for today. How would you like it if you were shoved in a small confined area and not sure when you would get out?) she tells us she doesn't care and it wouldn't bother her. That's constantly her answer. We've tried praising good behavior, it doesn't work. We've tried timeouts, sparking, taking stuff away, nothing like that has worked on her and we're running out of options.

@moromama, she's in a time out chair right now. She thought she'd be funny and spin herself around to look at us and after she didn't listen to her father to turn back around she got smacked. She appears to be behaving now but it'll only last so long

@moromama, at the age of 2 I can understand it. They're still learning. Mines 6 and knows better. She gets told not to shove her face into the cats fur, she's been yelled at, spanked, the cats have even attacked her when she does it. I'm about ready to go to my last resort and rehome the cats because she can't respect them.
