Hello everyone! I'm new to this app and a first time mom. Well, soon-to-be mom 🤗. I would never regret the decision to become a mother, however, I have to ask, is there a such thing as "pre"partum depression? Lately, I have been in a rut that seems to never go away. As my due date gets closer, I constantly think about how my life will be forever changed once my baby arrives. I live in a state where I have no family and never took the time to build a social circle. Outside of regular trips to the grocery store and going to work (pre-pregnancy), I don't get out at all. I'm beginning to feel very anxious about the next few months. I also planned on being in a certain position financially before my baby's arrival, but life has proven otherwise. I feel more lonely than ever and so unprepared for motherhood now. Is this normal? Please help 😣! Thank you so much.
Im sorry love. I know the whole feeling your going thru. U can message me anytime! I
@shorty02 YES! All of the above, minus the toddler. I'm currently trying to find some groups in my area. I just need an outlet. I hate feeling like I'm stuck. Moved to GA from KS two and a half years ago. Home isn't anywhere close and it's expensive to go back to visit. Now my lack of finances don't allow me to 😔
Yes! I was in that exact same situation. New state. No friends. No family. Relationship problems. Pregnant with a toddler and no breaks or anyone to talk to. U should have someone to talk to. Or find mommy friends or groups or anything.
Yes! If you qualify its free and wonderful. They bring you and baby goodies. They also help you find other local mom resources and have good info. Best of luck!
@msjournalistic, yes it is 😍 thanks n do u know what ur havin
It is definitely a thing. Your ob can provide you with the necessary resources to get you help with how your feeling.
It can be so stressful I know! I recommend seeking help asap. Connect with a family therapist or new mom courses through your hospital. Don't hesitate to sign up for government programs like WIC, ebt etc because you'll likely receive them now if you qualify and won't need to scramble to do the work when baby arrives. Last, look up nurse family partnership and apply! The program gives you a home nurse that helps you through pregnancy and visits you and child until they are 2!
@gabriela_duque18 Thanks so much! I will definitely do so. I see your due date is coming up soon. Congrats 🎉
Welcome And Congrats On Ur Little One! If Yu Ever Need To Talk I'm here

Birth Plan Rant
I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
For the veteran moms of mom life. Do you ever wonder what happened to moms that were on here when it was preggie. I have one in particular i was thinking about but I cant remember her name.
@shorty02 thank you!
