Sometimes they're painful. Mine were. A BH is a REAL contraction. It's getting your body ready for labor. The only difference between BH and labor is BH will stop. If you're in labor the contractions don't stop and will eventually get more intense and closer together. I ended up being induced so I've never really experienced real labor, but some of my BH were so painful I couldn't stand up.
Okay because right now i am having contractions 6-8 minutes apart and they are so painful but yesterday i went to see my doctor and im only 1 1/2 cm dilated . But they have been like this all night i have not been able to sleep.😞@acrdrgz
@ethanandkayleensmommy, yes! If they don't go away or they get stronger after that and a bottle of water, I would suggest calling L&D. Better safe than sorry, to be honest. Even if you weren't dilated that much when they checked you last, you could now finally be progressing
@ethanandkayleensmommy, if it has blood, I would definitely think strongly about calling L&D if your contractions don't stop after your shower. I'm telling you, you're going to have your baby soon! 😁

If they get too much closer, I would call L&D. You're close enough now that this could be the real thing.
