Got this from Jonnys teacher this morning... Makes me happy knowing hes doing good... He threw a huge fit, kicking, screaming, pinching(all at me) while being dropped off... He doesn't lash out on other kids. Thankfully. (And he got a stern talk, I would have spanked, but you know public school/lots of parents against spanking, accusations of Child Abuse etc etc... Don't wanna deal with the state on my parenting.)
Anyways- wont post the pic, keeps saying "image upload failed"
But its a pic of Jonny on the playset of the school, with the text saying "my teacher says i'm doing great" (this is ----- from family services sending pic from Jonnys teacher. We had tears for about 5 mins, and now having a blast!

Outrageous!
A 5 year old was detained and questioned at his school for taking a toy gun to show his friend. He was so scared he wet his pants and his parents weren't notified until 2 hours into the questioning. He was suspended for 10 days, but it was reduced to the 3 days he had already served after the parents and others complained. The school stated that the situation was handled appropriately and would be handled in a similar manner in the future.
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...

Do you ladies think it's materialistic to buy your lo brand name clothes shoes etc so he won't be singled out in school?
