What are your thoughts on waking a baby up for a feeding? I'm a ftm of a 2 week old.

She usually wakes up about every 4 hours to feed, but the doctor said to wake her every 2 hours. She's making good weight gains. Thanks for your comments ladies!

I use to wake my son up every 2 hours until he was a month old then the doctor told me it wasn't necessary anymore to just let him sleep until he wakes up hungry wanting to feed. My son then started waking me about every 4 hours. Sometimes every 2 and I didnt even have to set an alarm lol

So long as she is gaining weight, I wouldn't wake her. My son kept losing weight in the beginning so we had to wake him every two hours to eat until it started going up consistently, but after that we let him sleep as long as he wanted.
