I can't wait to have another child. We have a 1 year old now. I'm a type 1 diabetic and it makes me nervous to get older and have more children. I guess I kind of feel like my clock is ticking and it's freaking me out!
@britt.michelle91, wow that's so funny!! I so admire you for going through pregnancy without a pump, that's amazing! I started on a pump when I was about 13 and I just switched to the omnipod a few months ago. This pregnancy surprised us more than with my daughter so I've been working hard to bring my A1c down. It's getting better but I'm still not happy
@ash621, yes I do! I actually started with it back in January. It's a change I'm still trying to get used too and I've been diabetic 18 years as well! And awww I bet! My daughter wears me out as is and omg I couldn't imagine that. I haven't had to do that yet
@britt.michelle91, lol 😂 I've been type 1 for 18 years. I've had way more morning sickness with this pregnancy than my last. I've even had to give a glucagon injection because I couldn't keep food down to treat a low blood sugar. I've been much more tired, but I blame that on chasing a toddler too. How about you? Do you wear a pump?
@ash621, awe your not old! lol how long have you been type 1 and how is this one worse than your first? My hubby wants to continue enjoying our 1 year old grow up which is fine. I want to to to but I told him last night I won't be 30 and pregnant. So I'm giving him until next summer for us to start trying again. Our daughter will be 2 then and hopefully out of diapers lol
I'm also type 1. I'm 29 and pregnant with my second. My husband wants us to be done because he's worried for my health. This has been a rough pregnancy so far, I can definitely see where he's coming from. But I'm not convinced yet! You're already ahead of me though, now I feel old 😜
@ash621, oh girl I was the best when I was pregnant. My A1C was 5.6 now it's gone up. Which I'm not happy about but I'm trying to get better! And wow yeah I've only been on it 9 months. I want to get the cgm to better understand why the blood sugar goes high through night. It's horrible
