Has anyone successfully potty trained an 18 month old boy? I want to potty train my son in a few months and be completely trained by his 2nd birthday but I have no idea how

I started by telling him what a potty is and talking about it and when I go potty so he gets the idea. Now he's telling me when he's gone potty in the diaper and soon Ima start putting him on it

We started reading him potty books and practicing sitting on the potty. Eventually he was fully trained by 2. My sister however wasn't able to get her son potty trained until he was 3.

I am determined and driven for success FAILURE isn't an option for me. I potty trained my oldest at 9 months old. My 2 middle son's were more difficult they were between 18 months and 2 years old. My baby boy was showing interest in potty training, I decided to buy him a potty chair. Potty training tips 1.) Don't rush your child 2.)Don't yell at your child 3.) Don't punish your child for having accidents 4.) Don't give you child candy 5.) Don't compare other children to your child 6.) Do praise your child 7.) Clap your hands when your child goes to the potty. 8.)Take your child every 15-30 minutes to the potty 9.)Don't criticize your child 10.) I don't recommend pull ups but I don't bash mothers who decided to use them. 11.) Remember potty training is not taught in one day you have to be determined to potty train your child.
