Stans been back in school no more than a week and he's already got tons of homework to do and…

At his age I think it's too much. When I was his age I only had one piece of homework a week x

I agree with you they have 6 hours of school five days a week surly that is enough maybe some reading or spelling to do on weekends but that's it xx @sarahlucindagiddins

@chesscalouise2, I think they put way to much pressure on children, where's the time for him to just play as he's always doing homework x

I swear when i was his age all we had to do was read a book and write something down about what you'd read 😂

I haven't gone through this yet but from what I hear it sounds like a lot. I'm sure I never had that much when I was a kid! It was usually reading. We had projects but we did them at school. I think it's too much personally. Bit of reading is enough. Let them be kids!

@sara-lou86, exactly and he told me the other day that when they get to year 3 they only have two breaks that can't be right? I understand reading and maybe a few spellings but it is way to much x

@missashleyanne, exactly it's ridiculous, I said this to the teacher the other day and she thought I was being over the top like this is what they have to do, Stan got so much pressure on him when he had to do his sats in year 2 I mean really I doubt what ever result they get is going to effect them x

@beffgoude, that's all I remember lol read a book lol but now i got a letter saying you must read to your child for at least half an hour a day, it's so stupid x
