Got the health visitor coming in less than an hour, bit nervous as ik there all in with social services and my mum had them for years when I was a kidn I was in foster care for abit, another thing is we have a big staff she can be good, but mostly she barks growls jumps all over the place & is just bit much for me to handle, if I leave the room she starts winging and scratching the door, I get so stressed out with her, I've out her in the other side of the house with food an water but she's only been there half hour and she's aready winging barking and banging about, she's really loud and sounds nasty, she isn't but sounds it , do you think the health visitor will say anything :(

Yea she came just asked a lot of questions and said the house is too cold for the baby, she asked a lot about social services and if I had them involved at any point, she asked that a few times I kinda lied at first but when she kept saying I felt I had to tell her :/ I didn't say a lot just that I had them out because my exzema and stress do you think that'll change anything?

I felt she was rushing the meeting and barly let me say much, we have seen a massive change in the dogs behavior in the past few days she seems to listen more just be so attached to me, and yeah I wouldn't let her nere the baby xx

I agree with @chesscalouise2, I know it's not easy but if the dogs not your responsibility and it wasn't meant to be a permanent situation for you. I'd consider it as an option. Your baby has to come first, it's a shame the dogs owner doesn't want them back but it ain't your burden to look after xxx

Personally if shes a jealous dog and you dont really no much about her I'd take her to a dog shelter @lexi109

I mean when health visitor came round to check with my first when I was 21, so three years ago, they literally only looked to see if we had a cot and white goods (fridge, oven, washing machine).
We didn't have a dog, but we had a house rabbit and I was worried about what they'd say about him but they never said anything. I'm sure most people wouldn't think bad about your dog barking as they are technically a stranger in your home etc. don't worry and stress im sure everything will go fine xxx

If they believe she's a danger to your child or others they may report her to the local dog warden or council but I don't think Legally They can do anything unless there's a urgent threat
