Is it bad that DD can't fall asleep unless she's cuddled? I have no intentions on changing this but my SO gets mad because she can't fall asleep by herself. Only by cuddles or a car ride. How will this effect her later? And any tips to help her sleep by herself? SO let's her cry it out for like ten minutes before he does anything and it breaks my heart to let her think we're not there for her every need.
Hun..don't ever think that's a bad thing to do for your "only a month old" baby. Matter of fact, that's the best thing you can do. Your baby needs your body warmth because that's what it's like for her 9 months back. And don't worry about her getting use to it. But slowly, when you can, try putting her down crib or swing once she fell asleep..even if she wakes up, just do it over again..and soon you won't have a hard time putting her down. Just be patient and don't worry. That's normal. All babies are cuddly🤗
It's not bad at all... it's completely normal and should be expected for a baby that young. She is way to young for cry it out! Trust your gut momma, if it feels wrong, it probably is. I think of it like this... your baby was literally a part of your body and then all of a sudden is separated from you. I imagine this is quite traumatic and this is why newborns are so attached to you and need that security of being held constantly. It's all they know, your sound, your warmth, your feel. It takes time and maturity for them to learn to feel safe apart from you. Daddy needs to be patient with her and realize she will learn to go to sleep on her own when she is ready, but for now, she just needs to feel secure:)
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Ok..my daughter only likes to fall asleep if she's cuddling with me. Like laying down with me....and I fall asleep with her........I just get so tired and just fall asleep...😞
help!
earlier today, my daughter was sleeping on my chest, and she stopped breathing for a good few seconds, since then, she has been awake, and won't fall asleep unless I'm holding her. I try to put her down, even on my lap and she won't fall asleep unless I'm holding her... we've been feeding her more and more, I can't pump anything else.. I want to fall asleep with her because that is literally the only way she's sleeping but my SO is against that, and pulls the whole "if something happens t...
I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!
So my sister just call me to tell me my daughter fell and hit her head, i ask her if my daughter is acting normal she said yes just that she wants to fall asleep:(
I told her not to let her fall asleep
Should i take her to the ER?
Shes not bleeding or nothing!!
Im still like an hour away from being home and i take the bus:(
Tbh I didn't start letting my daughter sleep by herself until 2 months ago and I let her cry it out for a little then I go comfort her etc.and put her back to bed and even now she still finds her way in our bed some nights. Just do what the most comfortable for you and your baby and as she gets older you'll find ways to teach her to sleep on her own😊
