Calling the doctors this morning. My milk isn't coming in fast enough to keep up with my daughters feeding. She eats atleast more than 4oz breastfeeding now. (My mother in law even says she eats a TON for her age too) I had to give her a bottle of formula just so my milk could come all in so she would have enough to eat. Like no joke. And with the formula she downs like 5oz like she hasn't been fed during the day and I feel terrible that it took this long to realize that is probably why she hasn't been sleeping well at night since she hasn't had a full belly 😞
Tonight at like 11:00pm I fed her a bottle of formula since I didn't have enough breast milk to feed her and she just woke up at 5:00.
Last night she woke up every 2 hours since her stomach wasn't full. :(

With pace feeding you take breaks for burping that give the babies brain a chance to catch up and say im full

My baby drinks 2.5 oz every 2 hours

@beebaby, yeah, I bring her up on my arm during feeding sometimes. I didn't know that made a difference. But thank u tons!!
I will try that today while she is eating 😊

Huge difference. She wont take in that much and you can keep up. 4oz is a lot for a small baby. You will be supplementing more in more the more you give. Do you breastfeed or pump only?

@beebaby, I was just breastfeeding. No pumping. My milk is like fully in now. So when she wakes up again I am going to breastfeed and then pump so I can have some when she feeds again.
Hoping it comes in faster that way to. Feeding then pumping.

Why not just breastfeed on demand

Breastfed babies feed often. That is normal. She isnt getting 4 oz from breast because that isnt how much she eats. They create how much milk they want when breastfeeding.
