Who are you talking to? Are you blue?
Jay ·
What has she done ? And why are you scared ?
Donna·
Sounds like she's just being mischievous. Stay sweet and firm, hopefully she grows out of it soon.

@queenaranda, I'm scared cause she has no remorse for what she's done and I'm scared that when I find her psychiatric help they're gonna tell me she sociopathic which isn't good and she's been screaming at her teacher and telling her no then during group time she just gets up and walk off she's not following directions at all
Jay ·
@studio.ghibli.mom23, why does she need psychiatric help ? She's 5 ? I don't understand

Doesn't sound like a sociopath just sounds like she's going thru a phase have you tried taking things from her or early bed time or some type of punishment every day the teachers say she won't behave?

@studio.ghibli.mom23, teachers are trained to deal with these things, my 4.5 year old gets in trouble sometimes at school. His teachers need to explain better. "Doesn't follow directions", well what are you asking her to do. I'm not saying that her behavior is excusable, but she hasn't really told you what to work on.... when my son does something they tell me things like "he was not controlling his body at nap time and waking up his friends". I then ask my son why he did a specific thing, and "I don't know" is not acceptable. He had to learn the hard way, but he is learning. At the end of the day, they are young, they will have issues, but they will learn. I feel like the teacher needs to be a little more helpful in descriptions. Message me anytime mama (duh) lol!

Yea it doesn't sound like the teacher is being very sensitive... you shouldn't even have to apologize for something like this! Your teacher should be helping you through things like this, not making you feel horrible and scared about them...

I have a sister who is a psychiatrist and a mother who taught this age group and they would NEVER speak to a mother this way. She is maki g you feel fearful and not helping the situation at all. She needs to be telling you ways that you can help the situation... I don't understand her use of language towards you at all. That it's "disturbing" and whatnot. Has she given you any advice at all?

Good I'm glad that you feel this way now! She is making you feel like your little girl is being horrible, but all little kids act out at some point. And yes you have to figure out how to stop them and work with them through it, but it doesn't automatically make them a bad child or a "troubled child". I feel like her use of language with you would make any mom feel scared. Does the preschool have a councilor? I would even confided switching teachers. It sounds like this one doesn't know how to help your baby girl get settled into classroom mode. Maybe your daughter just doesn't like her, or doesn't understand her, she did say it was the first time she spoke sternly to her... doesn't sound like she knows how do deal with children when they act out at all 😕

@studio.ghibli.mom23, oh so they should have a school councelor there right? I don't think there is any need for you to see a psychologist!

@studio.ghibli.mom23, even though I think she's being a normal 5 year old, maybe seeing the school counselor will help the relationship between her and her teacher. Idk... sorry, I just want to help!

I have a son like this at 4 he was diagnosed with bipolar and schizophrenia so I can completely relate. He would do something in his classroom, he wouldn’t show remorse. He is now 9 and slowly learning
