I know this is gonna be a dumb question but I'm one worried momma and just need some reassurance, so my little Kylee has been sick for past 2 days, stuffy/runny nose and that's it. Appetite is normal, she drinks pretty good, poops regularly like she should, but tonight she threw up milk (which she had just had maybe 30 mins before) and clear mucus. It wasn't a ton, but it was enough to change her and her bed sheets. She's been sick only one time before this and it was bad she had RSV for about 2-3 weeks. I don't think this is it, so what are thinking? Common cold or sinus? She's not tugging at her ears, so I don't think it's an ear infection. And what medicine to you recommend? Or what do you do for a baby's runny/stuffy nose? Thanks for the help ladies ♥️

Sounds like she may have a common cold. Just give her Tylenol and if you have a humidifier use it to help with the stuffy nose. I hate when my BG gets sick.

Does she have a fever? Usually fever and cough come with RSV. Its sounds like a cold. Milk thickens mucous so that's probably why she threw it up. If g kids are super mucousy we try our best to avoid milk for this reason.

She can have Benadryl if she needs it but you'll still need to call doctor for that. It's best though to let it run its course. And I agree with humidifier if you don't have one sit in bathroom with steamy shower going. Itll help loses the mucous up

I have a 4 year old and he used to be sick with a stubborn congestion when he was younger it was because he is allergic to house dust and at the time we were living in a old dusty townhome. So what I did was buy a humidifier that you can use oil on it. I use eucalyptus essential oil instead of the vick oil. Phlegm will make them vomit if they swallow it. So try to suction that mucus out as much as you can. Making a mix of coconut oil & peppermint oil then rub it on the back of her neck and feet will help her feel so much better too. @ashleydunn, She don't have a fever 🙏🏻 and she hasn't had a cough. Just a runny and stuffy nose, which is making her miserable ☹️ I've heard about the shower thing, I gave her a nice warm bath tonight and shut the door, and it seemed to help. But she was so tired I took her out and gave her the milk, she went fast asleep and woke up puking ☹️

@marinewife10, Thank you so much, I'm gonna have to for sure get a humidifier. Thanks for all the different methods to try, I feel so sorry for her because I know how miserable it can be not being able to breath from your nose 😩

@paparazzimom223, anytime my oldest got a cold (found out later she just had really bad seasonal allergies) anytime she would drink milk she would immediately throw it up and that's when the doctor decided to tell me that milk thickens mucous. If you can elevate her at all while sleeping that may help as well. Hope she's better soon

@paparazzimom223 do you have any baby Vicks? And yes if she wakes up again go in the bathroom and turn the hot water on and put it on shower mode and shut the door. Wait about 10 minutes then take the baby in there and close the door behind you. It works just like a humidifier. I done it until i got one
