My daughter is almost 5 months and I switched her breastmilk to gentlease. I slowly transitioned her in two weeks and she seemed just fine. She actually improved by going from pooping once a week to pooping almost every day, less spit up, and less cranky. The last 3 days she's been mostly formula fed and would nurse once a day since my milk is drying up. Well since she's mostly formula fed now, all she does is vomit. She will throw up after every bottle and it's a lot( vomits up almost entire bottle) She still has an appetite, normal wet diapers, and still poops everyday. Do I need to switch formula? I was hoping she'd get over it, but 3 days seems excessive 😔

Breastfed babies tend to go days without pooping. Were you worried about that?
Also is it possible you're feeding her too much formula?

Not pooping everyday is normal. The reason breastfed babies dont have much poop is because breastmilk is all absorbed and is everything they need. The reason the poop more with formula is because they need twice as much and it has a considerable amount of waste. The throwing up could be most likely just the change in milk, or a dairy protein allergy! How much does she eat?

Pooping once a week was too rough for her. I didn't switch for that reason though.
I don't think I'm feeding too much. Even if I feed only a couple ounces she still does it. I also thought that maybe I wasn't burping her well enough, but it's not that either.
Would the water cause it? We did recently move. Warm water is cloudy, dishwasher is crusty from lime deposits (I think that's what it is), and I've noticed my hair feels kind of weird.

It could be the dairy protein causing her to vomit, have you tried giving breastmilk again or soy formula?

About 4-6oz every 4 hours. She acts likes she starving and will try and suck down the bottle.
We are using cheap bottles, but the nipple doesn't flow quickly. I don't know anything about allergies. I planned on making an appointment to get it checked out. Gentlease didn't work well for my first and I ended up switching her to similac. She was very constipated and caused anal fissures.

I haven't tried yet. I planned on getting a small can and trying it out. Would switching to that upset her tummy?

She's okay with breastmilk.

Maybe try enfamil AR. My daughter has acid reflux so that's what the doctor put her on.

I would switch slowly in a transition. Couldn't be worse then what she is going through now if it will help

I'll give it a shot
