Quick question. Is it illegal for somebody you are no longer association to still have your birth certificate? It's a long story but I'll make it short. My ex best friend and her mom still have my birth certificate. I went to go visit my boyfriend and I found out she was talking 💩 behind my back while I was gone. So I left I left a lot of my stuff at their place to avoid drama. I also left my birth certificate there by their TV. And the funny thing is they said they didnt have it. But her mom (Maggie) told me if I didn't take my birth certificate to their place she would kick me out. This was 3 years ago. So can I still call the cops? I don't want my identity to be stolen. Oh yeah and they also have other people's legal documents there. They have 3 other birth certificates and a social security card. This people were also friends of her that lived there along time ago.

@mommab4 Probably somebody claimed me on taxes last year but we couldn't figure out who.

Do whatever it takes to get your identification back an to look at your credit report from all 3 freeze them if you notice anything out of place an report . This is coming personal experience ive had my identification stolen an used an i am still trying to fix what they have done an are still doing.
