Ladies serious question: how long do you typically stay in the hospital after giving birth?
I was induced on Thursday at 4pm, had my boy Friday at 7:21pm, was discharged Sunday morning. I had complications during labor and delivery so I was kept an extra night for observation. My hospital had a mandatory 24 hour wait period after baby is born. I also had a vaginal birth
With my 2nd, the baby was required to stay 36 hours, we stayed an extra 12 because 36 would have been after 8 pm and closer to 9.
I had high bp with my daughter and I only stayed for 2 days.
@karina_n_ryans_mommy, so it depends on the hospital and your vitals
3 days Max for normal and up to 1 week if C-section is or was in play and more if you developed a infection during delivery

Depends on the hospital. Mine is 24 hours with no complications.
It depends on how the birth went, and how the baby is doing. I had a c-section Saturday night, asked to go home Tuesday morning, discharged that afternoon. With a vaginal birth usually it's a day or two, no complications, and a c-section is usually 3-5 days, also with no complications.
With my last pregnancy I got admitted on a Monday around 11pm, gave birth on Tuesday at 10:58am, & was released Thursday morning around 12/1pm. I was not high risk or anything, & I had a vaginal birth.
I had my son in Gainesville (dif city over an hr away from where I lived at the time) & they were filling out discharge orders for me the day after I had him. I had my daughter at a different, local hospital & they hold moms for a mandatory 48 hours..depends on your circumstances/hospital policies. I had both babies vaginally & was not a high risk pregnancy.
Yeah something like that i would think they would monitor for maybe an Day if that and you and baby wouldn't have to stay long. 👐🏻 crossed that's what happens for ya!
Usually, at least here, it is 48hrs after birth for vaginal and 72hrs for CS
I think it would also depend on why your high risk... weather it's high blood pressure etc.
I was in the hospital for 9 days but also had a emergency csection and high blood pressure. My sister had her daughter and was out within 3 days
I'm not sure sweetie. I wasn't high risk with any of my children.. if I had to guess (I'm not an doctor nor nurse) but I think if everything is good with you and baby at delivery I don't see why they would keep you any longer.. maybe an extra day to monitor ...
Depends... vaginal I think I was in an day in a half .. my csection I was in four days. If nothing goes wrong and mom and baby are healthy :)
