Along with so many other awareness in the month of September. One of them is NICU awareness. Being a nicu mommy has so many things that are so emotional. Freaking out if your baby will make it, getting cheated out on labor , your water breaking in the middle of the mall, or being prepared amd having that hospital bag with you. What scared me the most was getting steroid shots and wondering if they are helping my baby so he can come into this world a survive! At 32 weeks and 3 days My baby boy was born 3 pounds 1 ounce. Didn't get to hold him like normal births. One picture and one touch of his tiny hand. Crying bc he didn't cry at first. That first little cry he made made my heart burst with emotions. Joy and scared to death washed over me. Our journey has just started before our journey of being parents can start. I Didn't get to see him for 5 days after giving birth. Darren showed me pictures and everyone said he looks like me, but I was crying because I didnt know what my own baby looked like. Just for the doctor to come in and tell me he has a heart murmur, double hernia, a VSD, and a PDA. The journey of being nicu parents are tough and hard on relationships. But in the end it was all worth it because 2 years later he is amazing and surprises us everyday.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
My 5 year old brother just got circumcised due to all the infections he kept on getting & seeing him in so much pain not being able to walk makes me glad I got my son circumcised as a newborn & planning on doing the same with my second baby.
It's so sad. I invited my daughter's father to the ultrasound today. He showed up. He didn't even want to sit next to me. He didn't acknowledge me in the waiting room. During the ultrasound he was on his phone. It ended, and he gave me a hug and told me he was going to go see Star Wars right after my appointment. All he asked was "how do you know if the baby is going to be cute or not?"
It's unbelievable. He doesn't care. It's ok if he doesn't care about me, but the baby. It hurts. So now I'm dr...
