I did both but it came back negative, then my oldest son was born shortly there after. My daughter both was positive. Now with this one there both negative again. But the ultrasound shows a healthy baby, but they still won't tell me the gender yet :/

I did a home test then when I got 2 positives I went to the doc and they confirmed it with a blood test.
