Were your family members happy about you having a baby on the way?

Not at first and there are still a few who don't approve.

Immediate family yes. Extended no. They could care less.

Mine are very happy but my husbands no, both times. I'll never understand it!

I thinks it's mainly my uncle who doesn't approve because he thinks we're too young and he doesn't like that my fiance and I aren't social. We like to just stay in and keep to ourselves and my uncle thinks people with kids should "be out of that phase", but I'm pretty sure it's not a phase lol

@damiensmommy1117, How old are you? And when you say stay to yourself you mean distant yourself from everyone?

I'm 19 and my fiance is 21, but literally every female in my immediate and distant family has gotten pregnant at 17 or younger since before my great great grandma, so everyone jokes how I'm a "late" starter compared to them lol

Ever since I was a teenager I've never really cared for being social with people. I mean we still go to family get togethers, but we just don't talk everyone's ear off and we don't blast our personal business to them. We would rather stay in and watch a movie or play a game together than go to the movies or something like that. It's less stressful for us to just be around each other because we completely get each other, but our families don't really understand us and we don't really like most of our families.

My mother stopped talking to me when she found out I was pregnant with my son, and she's doing the same now that I'm pregnant again, with my daughter. My family doesn't approve. My grandmother is the only immediate family that still treats me with respect. My boyfriend's family was ecstatic about both pregnancies, though...

There's the good side of the family and the bad. My family have been a trying for years to get me to date black men, no not gonna happen. I love my husband even tho he gets on my last nerve. I know he's the man that I love. Now we're having our first child together my mom so happy the baby's mix but don't except my husband what kind of bs is that

My mom was upset when I announced all my pregnancies to her and then got over it after a few weeks. This time around she tells me if I get pregnant again she's going to be mad and won't talk to me but I tell myself I'm a grown adult it's my life and my choice.

Not really, just some since me and the father aren't together anymore. But idc I'm just ready for my baby to be here.
