@jloop7509 no they shouldn't give up for sure but sometimes they are just done breastfeeding and that's okay too. I wish I could have gone a full year but he wasn't having it

Yes but not usually. Every baby is different but they all have a phase with not wanting to feed. You gotta keep at it.

@jloop7509 I mean every baby is different and some just don't want to breastfeed anymore. I was 2 months old when I started refusing the boob from my mum.

@melinanae that was another one of Bennett's problems. Like I said he was a big eater and breastmilk just wasnt cutting it anymore as much. He liked the bottle because at that point he could take it with him and do whatever he wanted without having to be on my lap with me.

@jloop7509 babies can be ready to stop at any point for any reason.

I thought it was since I started making him baby food... he loves eating!!! Maybe that's why???

@jloop7509, @meetthevalentines2017, @krprincipe, yes! I try to find the quietest spot but as soon as my 4 yr old makes his way he's easily distracted. Then my little boy gets frustrated when trying to latch on so I wait a little bit and try again and then he'll latch and then let go. It's weird. I had to pump twice this morning for him. I feel like he's starting to want bottle now. The whole pumping is so annoying lol ugh

At 6 months he's definitely not ready to stop. Mine did the same. You have to feed him a little more often and then more at night but it'll pass in a month or so

Distracted!!! My son did the same thing. We had to be in a quiet room with 0 distractions. He still latches now, but usually only when he's starving or tired. He's almost 1 and is ready to stop

They start to become distracted very easily. My son did this at 6 months and then wanted to stop breastfeeding all together at 7 months. Which was okay with me because he is a big eater lol

Have you been feeding her more formula ?
