Contractions.... About 4 mins apart lasting about 3 mins. But SO thinks we shouldn't go to L&D since I don't plan on getting an epidural, he says " you're just gonna lay there at the hospital, you mine as well lay here at home" I kinda agree. Thoughts??

I agree! That's what I plan on doing this time around. Laboring at home until I'm really ready. Wish I did that with my son.

@orionsmomma but how do I know when I'm "really ready" this is my first

For me, it would be if I couldn't breathe or talk during a contraction. I'm hoping I can wait til my water breaks this time before going in.

I did missy of my labor at home with my last child... Hubby forced me to go to hospital my contractions was 2 minutes apart but really wasn't in pain till my water broke right at the hospital doors then the pain hit hard. :) don't plan to get epidural either this time but plan to get " laughing gas" though

I had to go to L&D with my son to be induced bc I was leaking amniotic fluid but with my daughter I woke up around 11:30pm with contractions & fought through them until they were about 2-3 min apart then headed to the hospital. We got there around 2:30am & she was born just before 5am.
