My nephew had a stomach virus a few months ago...it was terrible and lasted at least a week, and even once it was gone he barely ate for a few more days. He lost quite a bit of weight, which was bad because he barely had any to begin with! I think he was in the hospital for a day getting fluids, but that may have been a different visit. At home, they just tried to get him to drink small amounts throughout the day. So long as he had some wet diapers throughout the day they were happy.

Maybe take a bath with her? That always makes my son feel better when he's sick. She'll be okay, and she'll get better...kids always seem to be hit harder by stomach viruses than we are. Does her pediatrician have a 24 hour number, just to get some advice or tips the nurse may have to help?

@nomaci, thank you and yes that's what they told me that as long as she can keep fluids down and stay hydrated. Just like you nephew my daughter is already small to me she weighed 19lbs which was normal but small to me. And I'm sure she lost weight I'm just impatient. And I hate seeing her like this she is a calm happy baby and now she suffering. That's pretty much all the advice they gave me but if it's not any better Tuesday il be taking her in again. I just feel I could have prevented I don't know what could have caused it and I don't want it to happen again🙁

It's the worst when they're sick and there's nothing we can do to help....my nephew went from a double ear infection to double pink eye to a stomach virus, all within 3 weeks....then a month later he got HFM! Kids are germ magnets, especially if they go to daycare. Just think, though, she'll have a great immune system!!

Yes, pedialyte! (The flavorless one can be mixed with juice if needed.) That's what we were told to give him when my son is sick. We also push formula over juice or water.

@liz41395, yes but she won't drink it. She drinks water instead. I know she needs the electrolytes. For some reason she rather drink water out of the water bottle. I tried to put pedialyte in there and she won't drink I think il try the popsicles next.

How old is your baby?? I see ur from Buffalo NY. Ironic, if u chk out my wall you'll see i oosted something similar...this happened tl my son, it just random showed up at 6 weeks. With projectile vomitting where it look like he was suggercated. It became very stressful & overwhelming. Just very emotional, i had several break downs. Well after it showed at 6 weeks, it kinda went away or wasnt as frequent for only a few days.. then he spit up blood, & his poop ended up testing postive for the blood the 2nd time we did the test.. with all that from 6 to 8 weeks.. i kept going back to the doc. She jist changed his formula 3 times, then sent us to specialtist. Went to her 2 times, at 2nd appt i pushed for interal testing to be done. Bc she almost REALLY sent me away with another formula. Not this mama😊.. So then, that day they said he had to go to Childrens bc he had to have surgery. ... turned out he had pryosis stenosis ((spelling might be off))

Both doctors kept saying signs of reflux, & allergies. Bc he wasnt showing reg symptoms. He was good except for the puking, but he slept alot, then less. & anytime he was up he was fusy. But i read up on babys getting that, & i knew it the min i read it, thats what he was going through. Since Wendnesday things have been going good ((knock on wood))

Hope for the best, & do research. Doctors have opinions with edu backgrounds. Haha. But really, if u dont think their figuring anything out, go get a 2nd opinion.

Have you taken her to her primary? They can order some blood work to see if there may be anything additionally going on. Did you happen to go to a children's hospital or just the normal ER? Not all of doctors/nurses in a regular ER can diagnose babies efficiently. They can do basics, but it's always better to visit a pediatric doctor! 😊 hope this helps Mama!

Is she eating solids yet? If so what is she eating? Table food ? Baby food?

Celiac can make a kid puke and lose weight and will also cause them to be smaller in size. But let's hope this is just a bug. Sometimes babies need longer to fight it off. Would she take the pedialyte if you froze it into popsicles? If not try a little Gatorade. It's better than dehydrating. Prayers for ur baby!

@katiepasquarellaeo, thanks she is suppose to fallow up with her primary. I need to find out if they are open Monday. I did go to a pediatric ER but your right if this doesn't get any better she definitely should have some test done next week. I can't stand to see my baby like this and just sit and wait. I appreciate the advice and concerns thank you.

@morganmommy79, yes she eats solids and table food and formula. Mostly formula she is a very picky eater. Il look up celiac I hope it's not too serious i was going to try the pedialyte popsicles since she doesn't like the juice. Thanks for your prayers it means a lot.

Remedy is doing better her personality is 80% back she playing and crawling talking and acting normal. Her appetite is still pretty low but she never had a big one to begin with lol. She is going to fallow up with her pediatrician tomorrow. Thanks for all the advice and concerns and support I was missing. It's very much appreciated❤️
