I'm having a major debate with my partner and would to hear what you mummies think on here 😊, right so he thinks I give my daughter way to much food for lunch she has a small sandwich, small yoghurt, a banana and a packet of crisps. She's 3 but she's very tall for her age she could pass for a 4 maybe 5 year old just going by her height. I don't think that's loads of food but he thinks I'm over feeding her. Ava eats all of it and doesn't look like she's struggling to finish. Any thoughts?

Sounds about right to me. Morgan's 3 and he'll have a sandwich or crackers. Some fruit, yoghurt, crisps & maybe even a cereal bar if he's still hungry.

@sara-lou86, yeah I think it's a good portion of food, and sometimes she could eat more. I just like to make sure my kids are never hungry lol, there not over weight and they are so active so they are bound to get more hungry x

I believe that as long as we're feeding them healthy things there shouldn't be a limit on young children. The amount of energy they burn compared to us is immense. My child doesn't stop moving all day unless he's sleeping. He has 3 meals and in between he needs snacks. He's not even 1. And if he's up an hour or two past bedtime he gets hungry again. I just make sure it's fruits and yogurt and cheese he's snacking on and not chocolate. *shrugs* some kids need more.
