Is there any ladies out there who's pregnant and taking psych meds? If so, what meds are you still taking and have they affected your pregnancy in anyway? I'm taking Cymbalta, trazodone, Ambien, Klonopin, Lamictal, perphenazine and Remeron.
@abreton666 Latuda is. Which I didn't know until last week.
@shinanigans wow, thank you, that's so nice of you..
@channinrd Yeah they're strong for most people, but because of all the drugs I did for years, I have a very high tolerance for most drugs and medication's. I know people that take one Klonopin and they're completely obliterated for the whole day, when I can take a handful of them and walk around just fine, I haven't done drugs in years but I still have a very high tolerance, and so yeah Ambien, I can take a bunch of those too, and still walk and talk just fine, while everyone is in a coma, lol. Sometimes they don't do anything for me, and have to take extra ones.
@shinanigans that's very nice of you!
@abreton666, if you don't feel comfortable messaging me so I can help you, you can tell your pharmacist the one where you get all your meds an idea of how to wean off
Ambien? Whoa that's some strong shit lol
@colombianprincess I'm on Zoloft myself 150mg
@cb958805 pretty much all psych meds aren't safe. I'm freakin screwed.. I told my psychiatrist, if something happens to my baby because of them refusing to wean me off of them, I'll sue the fuck out of her, no joke.
@shinanigans Yes, I know that, and keep calling and calling. One says "You have to call your OB for that" I call them, they say "You have to call your primary care doctor for that, we don't do that here" And then today I called my psychiatrist again and begged her to wean me off of them, but she refuses to help me. As of tomorrow I'll be all out of Klonopins and nobody will help me wean off of them, so looks like I'm going cold turkey. Good time's..
I never in my career heard ambien being safe but again your doctor will take care of you on that.
Klonopin yes if you keep taking that throughout your pregnancy and then don't taper off very slowly your baby will feel the withdrawal as well sometimes that means seizures
Your doctor probably thinks you being on the medication and mentally stable benefits you and the baby more than you not being on it at all. It's all up to your healthcare team
@colombianprincess yeah my psychiatrist and my OB said that all the other meds are safe to take accept the Klonopins which I'm trying to wean off of them but it's really hard. I've heard a lot of things about taking psych meds and pregnancy and usually they say things really bad can happen so I'm freaking out because it's gotta affect the baby somehow, especially in the first trimester but they both said they're safe so I don't know, I'm just hope everything is going to be okay..
I'm on Zoloft. It has helped a lot. I'm on the lowest dose which is 50mg but my doc said pregnant woman can go up to 300mg. It will not affect your pregnancy unless you are still in your first trimester.
moms whose babies have acid reflux, do they take meds for it? if so, how bad was their reflux to be put on meds?
can you take depression meds while pregnant?
Thrush what works what doesn't my baby been taking a med and it's not working it's something that starts with Ny but it's so frustraightengly not working :(

My doc gave me a list of safe meds to take when preggie. thought I'd share.
what allergy meds are safe to take during pregnancy?
@cb958805 hmm, I'll have to look into that. Thanks!
