I take aspirin daily as well at this point you'll do fine I pray for you both

@skysmommy04, after the cerclage my doctor just told me to take one children's 81mg aspirin daily and then prescribed me extra folic acid... at every ultrasound my cervix is still damn near invisible so they think I might make it to my due date but only if lil man wants to stay in after my stitches are taken out

I lost my first at 20 weeks and I never got a ver page with my second I did get progesterone which helped immensely I also got a pessary put in at 21 weeks and it kept me until 35 and I was 6cm dilated by then so it has to be done I'm doing pretty well this pregnancy still on progesterone and my cervix is holding strong for now I pray it stays that way I'd like to last the whole 40

@skysmommy04, I guess that's one of my fears since I miscarried twice prior to this pregnancy both before 21 weeks and they have my down as high risk but don't treat me as such since I had a cerclage placed at 13 weeks with this pregnancy. My doctor seems to think that I'll be alright if I get to 36 weeks but I want to be prepared for anything just in case

@skysmommy04, I'm sorry to ask but how premature was she?

After my c section no she was born premature im sure they do for normal births but I got to do my skin to skin all the time in NICU

@skysmommy04, ohhhhhhhhh but did you do the skin to skin or anything like that afterwards?

I dilate early in my pregnancies and my daughter was breech so my natural birth didn't happen but my doctors and nurses are always amazing so I never have any complaints

@skysmommy04, why were your plans thrown out if you don't mind me asking

My plans went out the window but I did get a form to fill out and they save it in my file

@saniyyahhasan, I already know I just want my husband and my cousin in the room with me. I've talked to my husband about the delayed cord cutting but he feels like as the man its tradition to cut the cord when the baby comes out but everything else he's on board for

I made it a point to go over it with my OB just in case he have a better plan or can tell me more options. I made sure I had questions too to be clear on some things in my plan too

@saniyyahhasan, oh alright because I have an appointment on Tuesday so I'll ask if I could print it out and give it to them since my gyn and hospital are right across the street from each other and my doctors all go back and forth

@juliaschade41, hopefully 🙄I like having things planned out and I know not everything can go to plan but it's nice to think it will

I did my birthing plan at around 30 weeks....I went over it with my OB n he said what it want well be no problem....I have to get the staff at the hospital a copy too so they will have it b4 he get there.

@mitiacarolina3 yeah exactly. Hopefully we get good people when we give birth though!

@juliaschade41, you know sometimes some nurses don't care or they pretend you never said or gave them anything

Yes during admitting my hospital asked I did delayed cord cutting and bathing

@starwars-mom, I'm going to duke hospital in North Carolina where I live and I wanted to know if I could just print out a random birth plan and then bring it in to them

@juliaschade41, I wanted to make one just in case because this is my first full term pregnancy and I wanted my wishes respected

@mitiacarolina3 you can make your own but most hospitals i heard kind of throw it out the window cuz anything can change. They have to respect you but unfortunately not everything goes to plan all the time. Im not even bothering. I will tell them some things when i get there, but just in my opinion from what i have heard from experienced people, it can be a waste of time.

My hospital asked if I had one printed out. I didn't, but I still told them what I wanted (like dad cutting the cord, clean baby before doing skin to skin, etc.) And they write it all down in the computer so whatever nurse was on duty at time of delivery knew what we wanted
