Thank you all, I really appreciate it I'm due in January with my first boy and I know absolutely nothing when it comes to circumsising. I'll definitely be doing lots of research
I believe that it's truly a cosmetic thing and isn't necessary. I have two sons one is cut and one is intact. My intact baby has never had an issue. With my circumcised son there hasn't been an issue as far as infections but it was really hard watching him go through the pain and the gauze changings. If I could go back I'd probably choose not to have him circumcised. The foreskin isn't infectious like some people believe. Many countries do not circumcise in Europe and South America and their boys do not have any issues. I honestly think that it's just not worth the pain for a baby when they do just fine with the foreskin there. ♥️ Just my 0.02 from a mom who has experienced both.
I planned on circumcising all sons. I found out I was having a boy at 16 weeks and figured since I'd be putting my son through an operation immediately after birth, I wanted to know every fact and statistic. So I researched for months and decided not to circumcise him at all. If you're interested on why I made that decision, I invite you to message me and I'll give you a simple run down on my reasoning and how easy it is to care for my not circumcised boy. Only other advice I can give you is to research research research!!
