Water, water, water. Don't stress about it. Just relax. Skin to skin helps too.

Babies clusterfeed especially a lot in the beginning Mommy. As others stated pump is no indication. Only way to know how much he's getting exactly is a weigh in at a lactaction consultants also their tummies are so tiny. I will add a pic in a second. Lots of skin to skin and keep nursing baby. You got this momma 🙌🏼.

If he's gaining weight and having wet diapers then he's eating enough momma. My daughter was on my boob literally every hour when she clusterfeeds. It slowed down at around 6 weeks.

Breastmilk metabolises quickly.
Babies cluster feed.
Pumping does not indicate how much you make.
Babies stomachs are tiny. 1 oz is plenty right now.
Nursing isn't always for milk. It helps build immunity. It helps comfort them. It helps your supply build.
By using formula and not letting the baby nurse, you are telling your body to slow down on making milk.
Less than 3% of women actually dont make enough milk. It's very unlikely that you need pills.

@cameronderanger1234 that's completely normal. It's not that he isn't getting enough. He is cluster feeding.

Don't give up. The first couple of months are the hardest. I promise to gets easier. Cluster feeding is exhausting. But you can definitely do it!

Breastfeeding is a full time job. My daughter nursed non stop for the first 2 months of her life. I would literally nurse her in a Moby wrap and baby wear her so I could get stuff done lol. But some women don't react well to a breast pump. But when you do pump, go for at least 20 mins, try massaging your breasts when pumping. But the key is to nurse nurse nurse and drink water. Your little one could be going through a growth spurt. Cluster feeding is so normal especially when they are so young. Don't give up mama. And don't feel ashamed when having to supplement. Fed is best!

Breast milk is supply and demand. Stay hydrated. Nothing you can eat will make you produce more. Nurse on demand. It will help get your supply back up
