Not mom related at all but mom dog related! We have a 6 month old beagle and we are having issues with him going potty…

@sharonpaige13, my babe her name is Ah Rum (shirt for beautiful in Korean) many people who aren't Asian just pronounce her name as Autumn

@shinanigans, we actually did and she is in nutro...it's the pink dog food but she loves it and agrees with her very well!! And she gets a bath and hair trim every 4 weeks and that goes with the anal glands, toes, teeth brushing! They are high maintenance dogs for sure! But amazing dogs! And yes my little girl is a weirdo! Goes with her name! I named her Zeba lol

Do you have issues with your maltipoo too?

We changed her food to higher quality went from purina to wellness and she's on a anal glands supplement to reduce the scooting but the sacs still fill very quickly

She's such a weirdo lol. I been having severe anal glands issues we have to express them every 7-11 days or else they leak on their own it's disgusting

@shinanigans, Oh my Gosh! she is so cute 😍😍😍 mostly maltise I see!! She will grow up and be a great dog! Maltipoos are known for it! And my little girl is such a chill dog too she loves cuddling and is so smart! She was my first baby! She was my Christmas present when I was 12! I still can't believe she is turning 10!

@shinanigans, my 10 year old is a maltipoo!!!! She was so easy! Her name is Zeba and she's my cuddle buddy and yeah this breed is known to be stubborn with commands but not potty training so I got the opposite! Haha

@sharonpaige13, is that breed known to be stubborn? You know how some are. I understand the hardship, my girl she's a maltipoo she just changed in many ways at the six month mark I was shocked so everyday is training day (her listening to me and me developing patience)

@shinanigans, we go on 3-4 mile walks every day!! And he never goes on our walks cuz I have a bag of treats in the stroller lol and then I let him out ever hour even been getting up 4-5 times a night and still goes in his cage! So difficult! I have a 10 year old dog that I trained myself and she was so easy and thought maybe this one would be well he's good about everything when it comes to commands, my son, and being calm when I need him to be, and behaves so well! It's literally the potty training! Lol

Potty training is so hard

May need to be walked for longer intervals. And be rewarded with treat on walks as well. I've been trying to train puppy since she turned six months too. There's lots of things she needs to work on. I take her out 3-4 times a day anywhere between 5-45 mins depending though.

@msdglenn1, oh he is! Just with the whole potty training! I mean he knows like every command like sit, stay, shake, play dead, lay down, go to bed, and all that stuff plays amazingly with my 1 year old! So he is a really good dog so I am just going to have to work with him!

@msdglenn1, it's the right size! We got it at the vets to grow with him they help us with that

Keeping him outside longer may help him realize he has to pee. You will have to ignore his begging to come in.

@sharonpaige13, keep him out longer. Beagles are stubborn airheads. Lots of work. Anti poop and pee spray will help a little. Have to follow the directions to a T on the bottle or you'll be wasting your time.

Try this trick. The next time he poops in the crate put it outside in his yard. Don't bag it up and throw it out with the garbage. It's all about the scent of where it is. Keep putting it outside in his yard till he understands hopefully. It's all about scent to dogs. The smell will register his brain to poop in that location.
