no need to go to hospital just take a warm wash cloth and gently wipe her eye

I would check with your child's pediatrician just to be safe.

Most likely blocked tear duct, was it yellow/green looking? My pedi said to massage it 3 times a day to open it up or if it doesn't clear up they can write you a prescription for ointment
