My temp was up to 102.0... took a 600mg ibuprofen, about 2 hours ago... now my temp is down to 99.7... I've been fighting a painful swollen breast... but I've pumped and nursed it... and the lump goes down, it's just tender to the touch, but not any hotter than normal, so I don't think it's clogged... this is just annoying! I feel like flu symptoms... aches and pains everywhere! Anyone else deal with anything like this? I have an appointment on Monday to see my midwife for my 6 week check up

Yep. Sounds like mastitis. I felt like I had the flu and I had fever too. I felt knots and I massaged them as I breastfed. They went away on their own.
Sounds like a clog. Keep heating it and emptying w massage. If it's something else your midwife will be able to tell hopefully. Feel better!

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...

My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
@kambam, @morganmommy79, I think I cooked whatever it was out of my system... been dripping with sweat all night, woke up for her feed and my temp is totally back to normal, and my body no longer aches! I still have a little tenderness in my one breast, but it's SIGNIFICANTLY less than it was going to bed!
