@mykennamburns yeah thats when i would do it too. I actually learned that at the hospital because the nurses would do it cause i was having problems getting him to latch so they did that to see if he was even hungry. I started doing it at home until we both realized my finger was his binky but again it was my finger and i always washed my hands first. They are OUR kids though if we want to stick OUR fingers in their mouth then we can but for someone else to do it, especially without washing their hands. No I'd be livid

@mykennamburns, momma, do not let her touch your baby if she is not washing her hands I was the same way. Their immune system starts to regulate around 3 months until then cleanliness of others is ideal. My son is almost 5 months and I'm not as strict with it, I just have my mom wash her hands before touching him because she smokes and she's not allowed to lay him belly to belly either unless there's a barrier, my MIL gets pissy if someone asks her to wash her hands when she'll be touching spicy things. I don't give a fuck if anyone gets offended because it's my responsibility to protect him and speak for him because he can't.

Baby's can't talk you need to be his voice.

She doesn't need to be in your house around YOUR baby if she can't keep her hands out of his mouth. His immune system is so incredibly fragile right now and a little sickness to us could be very life threatening to him. That's disgusting. If she can't respect you as a friend and parent she needs to go.

Fuck yes it is! I used to let my son suck on MY finger when he was younger cause he wouldn't use a binky but no one else DARED do it. Not even his dad.
