How do you know when your starting to dilate ? without going to the hospital

You actually can check yourself, but only if you know what to feel for. You have to stick your fingers up there.

@rose135975, You can cause infection doing that too lol.

I wouldn't recommend checking yourself i agree with @theinkedmommy . let the doctors do their job. 😊

@theinkedmommy well yea, you have to wash your hands really well and know what you're doing, but I have personally done it, so I know it's possible.. my midwife also showed me at an appointment, so I wasn't going in blind and without instructions.

My point is that it is possible.. lol

@juliaschade41, yeah I wasn't gonna check myself I just wanted to know the signs & what it feels like lol

@bellygang i have no idea honestly. I didn't know i had started to dilate 2 weeks ago. I go in Monday and will see if I have dilated some more.
