Before my pregnancy I was 188... Just got weighed and I'm at 168(due to hyperemesis in my first trimester I lost about 25 pounds)....anyhow, about how much weight is lost directly after giving birth? Do you literally loose however much the baby weighs? How does that work?

You loose the babys weight, along with the afterbirth and all the fluid!! 😌
@bbyotw, I was so swollen and bloated it was ridiculous! Lots of water and eat healthy :) I have supplements I used as well, but I didn't start those until my supply was established

I lost 25 pounds my first week due to water and baby weight. By 4 months I lost all of it

@juliaschade41 I'm not talking about loosing weight overall I mean literally as soon as you push the baby out... Ex if the baby is 8lbs do you loose 8lbs?
From what I've learned it just depends on the person. Some people naturally lose it all without doing anything. Plus i heard breastfeeding helps. And then there are those who have to work a little bit harder to lose the weight. Everyone is different.

How far along are you and how much did you weigh before pregnancy and at this point in pregnancy? I weighed about 112 and I'm 16 weeks, 23 pounds.
Ladies, do not feel bad about your weight gain. During my first pregnancy I literally weighed 98 pounds before I got pregnant, by 37 weeks, I weighed around 170. I lost it all and went back down to 105ish. 37 weeks pregnant I was about 165. So I gained 72 lbs and 60 lbs and was able to lose it all.
