What all should I pack in my daughters bag for the hospital and my bag? Time is just going by so…

For sure a hair tie and Carmax or any type of lip balm.

For her bag pack some soft blankets (hospital ones are scratchy), spit rags, outfits

Oh diapers! The ones we have here hospital supplies are very big. Pack lotion, wet wipes, comfy cloths, nipple butter, hair ties, face wipes, nursing pillow, your own blanket/pillow for comfort

I'm just not to sure on what I should pack because my sisters never really had specific things. And I'm doing this kinda on my own so I need some help.

@caityyy_lynnn, labor made my lips really dry. If you plan on getting a epidural I suggest having lip balms or carmax. Take clothes for you and the baby. Take about 3 pairs of clothing. Something light and baggy. I say take 3 pairs because you might spot on them. Take some regular pads ones (I didn't bleed that much and was uncomfortable using the hospital ones) take comfy socks that aren't tight (feet will swell) and comfy slippers that your swollen feet will fit into. Take all toiletries, comb, shampoo & conditioner, body wash, deodorant, lotion, nipple balm (makeup if you want) toothbrush and toothpaste, bring Gatorade and snacks for you for after birth. (Unless your okay with hospital food 3 times a day. And no snacks)

@mumstasin, well my family will bring me food and drinks and stuff. My hospital has chapstick in the room. My little sister only stayed for a day or two. I'm trying to find slippers and a robe but no luck yet. Luckily it's becoming time where they should come out in stores.

@caityyy_lynnn for my son i packed 2 gowns, 3 of his own receiving blankets, 2 of his big warm blankets (it was middle of December lol), 2 hats 2 pairs of mittens, 1 pacifier(just incase), his own diapers and wipes. I used NONE of it lol none. I kept him in a diaper and the hospital receiving blankets for 3 days and he loved it, it was easier for us to do skin to skin that way. I did pack his going home outfit and did use that and his 2 warms blankets and i maybe used 3 of my own diapers on him.

For my bag i brought what i wore obviously and i wore my socks and slippers there. I packed an extra pair of pants and a extra tshirt, my own pillow, chapstick, phone charger. Again i stayed in my hospital gown the whole time, it was easier to breastfeed in and do skin to skin. Oh i also had my own throw blanket.

And some toiletries.

For yourself :

Brush , hair tie , chap stick is a must , and some comfy clothing if you don't want to wear the hospital gown..with my first born I was in discomfort from the episiotomy and burned out from all that my body went through I stayed in the hospital gown ..with my second born I felt great! The nurses were amazed at how I was after having a baby I had no pain no nada and full of energy I kept the hospital gown on only the first night then changed into a big tee shirt and leggings..if you plan on breastfeeding nipple balm is a must take as well and use it before and after every time u breastfeed baby..also a nursing bra and nursing pads as well..I basically only took one pair of granny panties for the day I left the hospital ..because the hospital mesh ones are comfy ..oh and I'd take some rubber bottom slippers as well ..and if take deodorant ..they supply toothbrush and shampoo etc ..but of course u can take ur own!..a nice throw would be nice to take as well if u want to be warm in ur own soft blanket ..

For baby :

Pacifier (if you plan on giving baby one) , beanies ,gloves,socks! Wipes,and a going home outfit . .The hospital gives the baby a long sleeve shirt to stay in while there if you'd like they also supply diapers,dry clothes that you need to put warm water on and use as wipes ,baby comb,boogie suction and the hospital receiving blankets .. ..I kept both my babies in the long sleeved shirt from the hospital I only put socks on them and beanies and kept them in a burrito wrapped up warm..and packed a going home outfit for them..some moms like taking a couple of clothing to change them throughout the few days there .

Honestly I just used four onsies for my baby and some socks. And all I used from my bag was everything I needed to leave the hospital. Change of clothes, makeup, hair brush. They didn't have me shower before I left so I just showered at home. My husband used his bag the most 👍🏼
