Experiences with breastfeeding after a c-section?

I was really sick after mine. And was in the hospital for a week. Nevertheless they encouraged me to breastfeed and after a few days my milk came in just fine. We did struggle with latching though. But the LC worked on that with me.

@sunshyne76 I had a vaginal birth last time and had a really hard time breastfeeding and getting my milk to come in. So I was wondering if it might be even harder this time!!! >_<

My milk started coming in before I had my c section so maybe that was a benefit. I didn't experience any problems with supply at first. I had supply issues months later due to other health issues. But I think you should be just fine after your c section

@sunshyne76 yeah as I look more into breastfeeding I'm finding some information that I didn't learn last time that might have contributed to my poor supply. Pregnancy and babies are a beautiful, complicated things!!

@anahiata, Most definitely! It's good you will be more prepared and aware the second time around. If we have another one, I know I can be more successful the second time around. Best wishes to you
