Sooooo if baby girl feels like she doesn't wanna come on her own by next week, they're gonna induce me 😳
I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing
Anyone who's been induced, please help me understand this process❗❗
Not sure if mine be related to yours. I went through induction by 37 (full term) because my amniotic fluid was going low and one more week with my baby inside of me wouldn't have survived. It scared me because I didn't quite understand the induction thing. But there I went anyways. It wasn't bad until my baby was born. They asked me if I wanted the epidural (they think that the contractions alone would be too painful for me and the labor. Since my body was not up for it just yet) and my husband suggested I take it. So I was laying n bed for day or two and had no idea I was having a lot of contractions. I didn't feel a thing. I started feeling the pain after the baby was born and I was sent to my own room.
So I can't really tell if it'd be a good thing for you or not. But I'm just gonna be honest,.I'm glad I took epidural. Just the pain alone after the labor was so much that I couldn't even walk without my husband assisting me for almost 2 days.
I was induced at 39 weeks with my son due to gestational diabetes and my blood pressure had started going up. To me I wouldn't have had it any other way...I know that sounds crazy but I went in at 6:30 A.M and started pitocin around 7 A.M. Around lunch I got my epidural and around 3 the broke my water and at 5:11 P.M he was here. I had absolutely no pain and everything progressed smoothly for me. The only bad thing I can say about it is that after the baby is born I had to get 2 more IV bags of pitocin to make your uterus keep contracting down and I did have some pain from those but not terrible.
@glow_b3auty, I was induced at 39 weeks and the meds made my baby's heart rate drop too but they put an oxygen mask, put some kind of fluid back on because my fluid was low and the baby wasn't cooperating (she was stubborn then and she's even more stubborn now 😂) and stopped the meds so I was fine after all of that and I was only in labor for maybe 8 hours and pushed for about 15 mins and she was out and healthy. It really just depends on your body and stuff. Everyone is different. Even though there was a scary bump in the road when I was induced it still turned out perfectly fine and I really can't complain.
