😖 ugh. That was such a bad week. I seriously lived on soup, tea, that red chlorosceptic spray, and throat drops. And lots of Tylenol. (Not sure what's safe for pregnancy, though.)

@nomaci, I ended up going to the dr yesterday. They said I had the same thing you did a viral infection & to just let it run its course. It's also spread all around now not just one side. I'm miserable lol

I always worry that I'm wasting their time. If it is strep, though, the culture can take a few days, and they won't prescribe medicine until there's a positive, so you'd be sicker longer if you waited.

Maybe give it another day and see? If there's a CVS with a Minute Clinic nearby, they can at least do the swab and send it off, and it's quick.

@nomaci, yeah that's the thing I'm not wanting to make pointless trips to the dr and it not be anything but then again I don't want to not go to the dr and it be something that i need to go for.

Hahaha, it's okay. I went to the doctor twice because I was like "What do I have?!?" All I got was "It's not strep. Here's some steroids to reduce the swelling." Gee, thanks.

In the beginning it was just the right side. After a day or so it spread to both, but the right side was always worse.

I had thought it was just a cold at first.

@nomaci, it was on one side? Cause mines only one tonsil that's sore with little white stuff not both

My throat was all swollen, red, had white stuff everywhere, and, really gross, but it looked like ground beef too. My glands weren't swollen. I was stuffy, swallowing and talking hurt, I could barely eat, my whole body ached, and I was super tired. I had a slight fever, I think.

@nomaci, what was your symptoms that came with it?

I had that a few weeks ago and it wasn't strep. Started on one side and then spread. The doctors said it was viral and all I could do was wait. It hurt so badly....

I'm just curious of why it's only on one side.
