Would you remain miserable and unhappy with your SO just because you have kids together????? Be honest. Opinions?

Nope! Your kids will grow up thinking that's just how life is. Kids deserve to be shown the love and you deserve to have that love in a relationship.

In my opinion, if it was like that before the kids, why have kids with him in the first place? Throw him away!

Nah . But if you can work it out, do it. Sometimes you need to be away to see if it's really worth it .

I agree with you ladies. I absolutely would not deal with it either. I'd rather co parent Happily than be miserable everyday but some people don't look at it that way and I wanted to know why they don't

I see the post you commented on @torrey_ .i just posted about that exact thing and there are ppl jumping on there talking about their going through the same and keep your head up. It's ok to be able to relate, but saying hang in there, keep your head up, and my man does that to me too is not support. That's like saying it's ok that he's doing that to her.

No. I left my ex husband two years ago and it was the most difficult decision I've ever made. It was my worst fear to lose my kids and that happened. But even tho it happened I'm still happier now than I was then. I don't drink anymore I'm more mentally stable I'm not in a deep depression. I don't regret anything except not leaving sooner before the physical abuse started.

You don't regret not having your kids @ilovemychildren ? I didn't miss your point of your comment, but I'm just wondering.

@ilovemychildren, I'm sorry ☹️

And I'm glad that you got out of that situation. Had you stayed because of the kids you could be half damn crazy by now or dead if he was physical with you!

You lost your kids in the process of finding yourself and your backbone

That's so sad and tough

Can you get them back?

@chocolatemomma, right! Like. If you can compromise and both want to make it work I would be for it. But if one wants to work and the other absolutely doesn't. It's only so much u can do.

When I made the post of the household order that one time Husband, wife then kids pple jumped down my throat and said their kids come first

If they came first, you would not be in a miserable situation where that energy could and WILL affect your kids. They will learn to love based on what they see at home, based on how mommy treats daddy or vice Versa.

@chocolatemomma I wish I had my kids every second of every day. It literally kills me most days to even take care of my newborn because I feel like its not fair I get to give her all my love and my kids can't get it too. But I know that how I was in that relationship was not good for my kids or for me. And I'm a different person now. One day I will get my kids back when I'm completely ready and they will be much happier than they were before. But it seriously destroys me having to be away from them. My son wasn't even two years old when they were all taken and now he's almost 3. He talks now and I have no idea what his voice sounds like because my ex won't let me see my kids still.

@torrey_ I'm in the process of getting them back. Its just a long process. It will be another year at least.

@chocolatemomma, yes and quick to judge others but are living in a hell hole!

My momma left her husband when me and my sister was 2&4. We stayed at some place for battered women. And I remember. Believe it or not. I remember their fighting at home and everything. Kids remember

Kids are sponges. My order of the house is the same as you stated, but I'll be damned if I stay with my husband just for the kids. My parents stated together because of us, and it was hell! They just separated in February after 30+years. It's not worth it. No one WANTS a failed marriage or relationship, but you can't force what's not there.

Hell no. A child would rather be from a broken home then to live in one. I am not wasting years of my life.

Nope. I Left Mine As Soon As I Got Out The Hospital... I Refuse To Have My Daughter Thinking That's Love... Words DO Hurt

No. The only thing that teaches a child is that's what love is & how relationships should be.
