My 1.5yo is on the Daddy streak. She goes into panic mode at nap/bed time and will scream and scream for "daddy" for HOURS. she absolutely does not want me to console her. Just daddy. Problem is daddy works and isn't home for these times 😭 I'm at such a loss!

@vegasmomma give her one of his shirts to sleep with. Me and my bf used to take the shirts off our backs so our son could sleep with them depending on who put him to bed

Ya, it's really interesting, and you get some people who don't believe in it, but that's true of everything.

Good luck.

So this is going to sound really crazy.... But its because of the Solar Eclipse. Kids are crazy sensitive to that and the lunar eclipse and even just full moons.

Ask anyone who works in a hospital or nursing home, even some child care workers believe in it.

Something to do with the eclipse/full moons cause a fluctuation in the water in the brain. When I worked in a nursing home the people who had "issues" became sane and the people who were normally "sane" started acting weird during the 3 days leading up, during and the day after the full moon/eclipse.

@sadiesue0718, my daughter has never been this way before! Normally nap time/bed time are so easy but the last few days have been a nightmare. Last night it took us 4 hours to get her to sleep because all she wanted was to snuggle daddy and he had to go to bed to get up for work 🤦🏼‍♀️ I have no idea what's going on..I love that she loves her dad so much but I hope it ends soon because we are all exhausted!

@sadiesue0718, that might actually work really well because I took a shot in the dark and called him at work and he actually answered and she immediately calmed down. She freaked out when he had to hang up but just him talking to her really soothed her. I'll definitely look into that!! Great idea

Take his cologne and mist her blanket or bed* with it.

Or, have him give her a special "daddy bear" and spray that with his cologne. If he doesn't wear cologne wash the bear with his body wash or shampoo.

Just keep reminding her that daddy is at work and her daddy bear needs her love and snuggles.

There are also the Bears that can record a message in his voice, idk how much they are though.

Have him say something like "I love you "name/nickname" It's night night time, be good for mommy please".

This will reinforce your control in the situation, and its daddy's voice for her.
