Let's talk about your baby's pediatricians waiting room... Me being the mom I am I usually keep Kylee close, she usually wants to put everything and anything in her mouth so I keep her with me. I've had 2 experiences in my doctors office that has me so upset/mad. So the first: I had Kylee sitting on my lap because at the time she wasn't sick and I could tell that most of the other kids were. Now there is always kids running around everything and your always almost guaranteed to be waiting for at least 30-40 mins sometimes longer, so of course it's hard to keep the little ones happy. Luckily Kylee will usually just sit there and either watch my phone or eat a snack I've brought for her, I don't mind at all giving some to other kids that are allowed but there was this one little girl running around she spots Kylee eating and runs up and yanks it out of her hands... Kylee is sitting on my lap and is just as shocked as I am, the mother says NOTHING to the little girl. Like not even a oh hey sorry about that or even go take it from her because you don't know if Kylee is sick or not. Luckily Kylee wasn't... like I said I don't mind if the kid is allowed but to just jerk it out of my kids hands... lord help me.
2nd story: Kylee was sick this time, she was actually very sick she had RSV and the stomach virus at the same time, guess where she got it? That office! But, anyways I was sitting there with Kylee on my lap wrapped in a blanket and a man with his kids was near us, he looks at me and just makes a big huff noise. I ignore it and I should mention Kylee was watching bubble guppies on my phone.
The man speak up and says " that's sad, already so little and she's on your phone."
I just looked at him and smiled, in reality I wanted to go off but Kylee was way too sick for this mans stupidity. I know this is long so if you read this far thanks for hearing me out. I don't mean to offend anyone, I get it kids run around in the doctors office I mean they put out toys for a reason, but I just don't let Kylee, and if she's sick and wants to watch bubble guppies then I'm gonna let her🤷🏻♀️ mind ya business.

Our office has 3 waiting rooms. One is for non-sick well checks. The other is for sick kids. The third is for older patients (teenagers). Oh, and NO toys. I bring something to keep Lily occupied. There's always a cartoon on one of the many tv's there. I love my pediatricians office. It's quiet, so clean, and I never see a waiting room full of kids. They work quick to get kids to the back. I carry sani-wipes with me just in case she picks up something off the floor, touches the floor, or drops her toys. The floor is the dirtiest - even if it looks clean - because germs fall when released from the nose, mouth and dirty shoes of course.

I let mine watch my phone on those situations! Just ignore them like you've been doing, they are just ignorant.

My dr's office is one waiting room and on the other side, which is divided by the entrance door, is the waiting room for a dentist office. So tons of people in one big area. I love my dr and his assistants tho so when I make the baby an appt one of us goes in and signs in and the other waits in the car with the baby. Or the nurses will take me right back to a clean, unused area until the dr is ready. They also tell me to avoid certain areas due to contagious illnesses.

Our doctors office has two sides, one for sick, one for non sick so it helps so there aren't too many germs going around. They also have sock rooms and non sock. I always call first thing to get an appt right away otherwise you are waiting! Just ignore ignorant people like that.

Our's has a well side and sick side.
Honestly you just need to speak up. I didn't always have control of my words but you need to find it. You don't have to start shit but if people want to be ignorant you should definitely speak your mind.
Some people suck! Don't allow others to control your peace of mind.

@paparazzimom223, yes. One of us (I take hubby or mom) will go sign in and check out the waiting area. The other waits with the baby and we use a lot of hand sanitizer from beginning to end. Lol
