Ladies I need some help 😪 so after I had my Kylee (who will be 2 in December) the hospital would not let me leave without the Depo shot 😤😤😤 as you can tell I am not a fan of it!!! I've been off it for little over a year and I haven't been able to get pregnant again, we wanna have another soon and then hold off on having a third baby until later on. I've read where it took some women years to get pregnant after the shot, I only had maybe 4-5 doses of the shot. So is there anything I can do or should I just wait it out? Also I should mention I went to my OB and he said I have a cyst on my left ovary but it wasn't too serious to be taken off... could that be a problem?

Have you considered a different birth control method? I use the Nexplanon now and before I got pregnant. After taking it out the first time I was able to get pregnant about 2 months later (casually TTC). After I gave birth I got it put back in.
As for the ovarian cyst, they're actually pretty common. I may be wrong, but some birth controls can cause them. They aren't really a big deal unless they don't go away, which they usually do on their own. However sometimes you have to get them surgically removed like I did. Mine was the size of a baseball 😳. But everything is fine and I still have my ovary!

I was on the depo shot at 16 to 19 and then the pill for a few months and then nothing. I only got pregnant after taking metformin at 22 and took that for less than a month. Then I got pregnant again when my 1st was 7 months and totally wasn't expecting it to happen again.

Also, why won't he hospital let you leave without getting the depo shot??? How is that their choice?

@dazzlingmommy, well they said you really need to leave here with some kinda birth control, and we highly recommend the shot.. and I'm not a confrontational person (usually) so I just obliged. I've heard of it before but didn't know it would cause all this...😧

@paparazzimom223, It hurts a little getting it put in and taken out but besides that you don't even notice it. The only thing is a lot of women complain about crazy periods but that's pretty much it. The side effects to the depo are scaryy! 😬 I'm surprised the hospital recommends that one...
