So I've made up my mind and I have decided that when my little girl is born. I don't want any visitors until maybe the next day or at least a few hours after so I can re-coup and have some personal time. And on top of that the only ones I want in the delivery room will be my husband and my mother... what do you ladies think ? Am I being selfish?
No definitely not selfish! I will be allowing only me my fiancé and my mom next time for the first day. I was bombarded by people as soon as the dr said it was okay and I was not impressed with it
@gennaraetarallo same. I love my mom she's my best friend but I'm also kind of on the fence about having her in there or not. She's traveling soooo far to be with me I feel it would be rude to make her wait in the waiting room lol
That's what i plan on doing altho I'm still debating whether my mom will be in there or not with me...
Not selfish at all. No one will be in my delivery room except my fiance and we probably won't take visitors until we are settled in at home. This is a very stressful and important time for you, some people won't understand that, but you have to take care of yourself and your little family more than other people's feelings.
That's how I was with my older children but this time I had my husbands whole family come see us lol there was so many visitors. I love them tho and I've always wanted a big family that I get along with. It made me feel super supported which is what I needed but if you need space and time alone with your baby and your man then that's 100% fine!! Don't worry about if people get mad. They should understand and just make sure to break the news nicely!!
I did that w my last and my sister did same .. People will understand..
@mminor90, she just has to respect your wishes. She can come when she is allowed to
@annmelendybrooke thanks! I just have a feeling my mother in law is going to react poorly knowing my mom will be there and she won't be. My mom lives 1000 miles away and is coming to be with me through it all. I hope my mother in law understands.
Not at all. She's your daughter and you're the one going through labor to bring her in to this world.
U most definitely are not being selfish. I decided I don't want visitors til 24 hours after I give birth. My boyfriend is the only one who is going to be in the room during the entire labor. We just went through all that time of pushing or getting a c section and we need that time to come to terms with everything. And if anyone can't respect your wishes then screw them. This is not only your little ones coming into the world time but it's also ur time to enjoy her and prepare yourself for visitors. YOU ARE NOT BEING SELFISH!
I want to have a baby so bad and my boyfriend feels the same but says hes not financially ready...so does welfare have to be paid back?
20 days to my due date and yesterday I was 1 cm dilated. I’m so ready to be a mama to my baby. But she’s so not wanting to come out. Anyone have tips, to get my baby out?
So my bf just beat the hell out of my dog and idk what to do now. I want to leave but don't have my paper yet to take my dog with me anywhere I go
Ok, so my friend is wanting to get pregnant but..... Her fiancé does not want kids, at lease for another 3-5 years he said... so she came up with the idea to have me pee on a stick for her and show it to him so that he’ll be comfortable with not wearing a condom and finishing in her.. basically the whole idea is to make him think she’s pregnant already...... so I do this favor for her or should I tell my girl to chill?
He and my husband are friends through us and he’s going to invite him over...
@samanthaann that's what I'm trying to avoid. This is my first baby and It's already a lot to handle without constant visitors right away lol
