I feel like a totally shit mom right now. I'm straightening my hair for the fair tonight which is my son's first time seeing the fair and he reached for my hand that was holding the straightener and ending up burning his wrist. I've tried calming him down with something cold on his wrist and he's still. Please tell me I'm not the only one that's blamed something on themselves

@katrinarwatson1986 he just clearly don't understand that there is a lot of people at the fair and he said move to some lady and she said something back and he said "Well why don't you move, you effin bitch" and I had to apologize to her cause he was intoxicated
@brandylynn94 that's crazy . I am sorry you were embarrassed at the fair . Someone needs to knock him over the head at least once ... I am glad that your little ones hand is looking better.

@katrinarwatson1986 oh I know. I'm at his mom's house cause he's been drinking since like 11 in the morning and hasn't stopped. He even embarrassed me at the fair. His mom told me when I got here that his step dad has a few words for him

Put aloe on it. My niece stepped on my straightener once and my mom had an aloe plant and just opened up a leaf and put the gel on it. It was healed next day and she immediately stopped crying.
Things happen momma. No parent is perfect. I was making tortillas and had my son in the carrier and his little toe touched the pan. He didn't care but still had a little burn bubble. I felt horrible unfortunately some things are learning experience and it's something that will never happen again. You're not alone and definitely not a bad mom because of it.
He's gonna use this accident against me in court. He's even tried taking my son away from me plenty of times cause apparently I'm unfit
I burnt my daughter's ear trying to curl her hair once. It wasn't good. I've had many times where I couldn't stop something from happening and felt like crap about it. Don't beat yourself up.
